It seems like the right time to use biomass to generate electricity to reduce our green house gas emissions. You might currently be composting your biomass or green waste or paying to send it to land fill?
Drawing on my industrial experience, I have pre-engineered a couple of different systems to generate electricity using commercially available equipment. I have setup a website in an attempt to help people who are also concerned about the climate crisis but need some technical support.
I have found a few examples showing where biomass is being used as an energy source, such as the facility that uses green pruning residue or the sawmill that uses woodchips to generate electricity.
My website is called crossroadGREEN.com. It is primarily a blog with a few categories: one discussing realistic engineering projects in the Australian context, a compilation of clippings from various sources that I have found interesting, and a market place for biomass to put the producers directly in contact with the consumers. (This is only an idea that needs input from other people – possibly you?) It also has a growing directory list of world-leading equipment suppliers, examples of interesting facilities from around the world and a reference section that contains important background information.
Please use the crossroadGREEN contact form if you would like to continue talking about biomass.
